Cinnamon Rolls

Soft, Sweet, and Delicious.

Cinnamon Rolls:

These homemade cinnamon rolls are fluffy, buttery, and packed with cinnamon flavor. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat!

Ingredients:

1- For the Dough:

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F/45°C)
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp salt

2- For the Filling:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup softened butter

3- For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (or heavy cream)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.

2. Make the Filling & Assemble Rolls:

  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll out the dough into a 15×10-inch rectangle.
  • Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal slices.
  • Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.

3. Bake the Rolls:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.

4. Make the Glaze & Serve:

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls.
  • Enjoy!

Tips & suggestions:

  • For extra gooey rolls, brush with melted butter before baking.
  • For a cream cheese frosting, replace glaze with a mix of cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  • For overnight cinnamon rolls, let the assembled rolls rise in the fridge overnight, then bake in the morning.
