Smoked Salmon Bagel

Smoked Salmon Bagel:

This Smoked Salmon Bagel combines rich cream cheese, delicate smoked salmon, and a fresh bagel for a perfect, light breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bagel (any variety – plain, sesame, everything, or whole grain)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 3–4 slices of smoked salmon
  • 1 tsp capers (optional)
  • A few thin slices of red onion
  • A few sprigs of fresh dill
  • Lemon wedges for garnish
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Toast the Bagel:

  • Slice the bagel in half and toast it to your desired level of crispiness.

2. Prepare the Toppings:

  • Spread cream cheese generously on each toasted bagel half.
  • Layer the smoked salmon over the cream cheese.
  • Add capers and red onion slices on top.

3. Garnish & Serve:

  • Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Serve immediately with an extra lemon wedge on the side.

Tips & suggestions:

  • For extra flavor, add a thin layer of avocado or cucumber slices.
  • For a spicy twist, spread a bit of wasabi or drizzle sriracha over the smoked salmon.
  • For a more filling version, top with a poached egg.
