Caprese Salad:

A Caprese Salad is a simple yet elegant Italian dish that highlights fresh, high-quality ingredients. With juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, it’s the perfect light appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 oz (225g) fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (or balsamic reduction)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Arrange the Salad:

  • On a serving plate, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella, slightly overlapping them.
  • Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices.

2. Drizzle & Season:

  • Drizzle extra virgin olive oil evenly over the salad.

  • Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to enhance the taste.

3. Serve & Enjoy:
