Chocolate Oatmeal:

This rich and chocolaty oatmeal is a perfect way to start your day with fiber, protein, and antioxidants!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup rolled oats (or quick oats)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or mashed banana (for natural sweetness)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
  • Fresh berries or banana slices (for topping)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Oatmeal:

  • In a small saucepan, combine oats, almond milk, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes until creamy.

2. Sweeten & Add Flavor:

  • Stir in honey (or mashed banana) and vanilla extract.
  • If you like extra richness, mix in dark chocolate chips until melted.

3. Serve & Garnish:

  • Pour into a bowl and top with chopped nuts, fresh berries, or banana slices.
  • Enjoy warm!

Tips & suggestions:

  • For extra protein, add 1 tbsp peanut butter or a scoop of protein powder.
  • For a mocha flavor, add ½ tsp instant coffee to the oats while cooking.
  • For a dairy-free version, stick with almond, coconut, or oat milk.
