Tips for the Best Grilled Halloumi Salad

  • Choose Good-Quality Halloumi – A firm, high-quality halloumi will hold its shape when grilled and develop a crispy golden crust.
  • Pat Dry Before GrillingRemove excess moisture from the cheese before grilling to achieve a better sear.
  • Use a Hot Pan or Grill – A nonstick pan, cast iron skillet, or outdoor grill will give the best crispy exterior and soft, melty inside.
  • Pair with Fresh Ingredients – Halloumi is naturally salty, so balance it with sweet tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and peppery arugula or spinach.
  • Add a Tangy Dressing – A lemon vinaigrette, balsamic glaze, or honey-mustard dressing enhances the flavors of the cheese and vegetables.
  • Extra Toppings for Texture – Try toasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pine nuts), pomegranate seeds, or avocado for an added twist.
