These shrimp tacos are fresh, flavorful, and easy to make! They feature juicy, seasoned shrimp, a crisp slaw, and a zesty sauce, all wrapped in soft tortillas.
Ingredients:
1- For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp lime juice
2- For the Slaw:
- 2 cups shredded cabbage (green, red, or mixed)
- 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
- 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp Greek yogurt or mayo
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 1/4 tsp salt
3- For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
4- For Serving:
- 6 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta or cotija cheese (optional)
- Lime wedges
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Slaw:
- In a bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, cilantro, lime juice, Greek yogurt (or mayo), honey, and salt.
- Toss well and set aside.
2. Make the Sauce:
- Mix Greek yogurt, lime juice, hot sauce, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
- Set aside for drizzling.
3. Cook the Shrimp:
- In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque.
- Squeeze lime juice over the shrimp and remove from heat.
4. Assemble the Tacos:
- Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave.
- Fill each tortilla with shrimp, slaw, and avocado slices.
- Drizzle with the sauce and sprinkle with cheese (if using).
