Ingredients:

For the Waffles:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk (or almond milk)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup melted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup strawberries (sliced)
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup raspberries
  • Maple syrup, honey, or whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Waffle Batter:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined (don’t overmix).

2. Cook the Waffles:

  • Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  • Pour the batter onto the waffle plates and cook according to the waffle maker’s instructions (usually 3–5 minutes until golden brown).

3. Assemble & Serve:

  • Top the warm waffles with fresh berries.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup, honey, or a dollop of whipped cream.

Tips & suggestions:

  • For extra crispiness, let the cooked waffles rest on a wire rack instead of stacking them.
  • For a healthier version, use whole wheat flour and replace sugar with honey.
  • For a chocolate twist, add chocolate chips to the batter.
